NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st January, 2015

[UGC (Institutions Deemed To Be Universities) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2015]
1. (1) These may be called the UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) (Second
Amendments) Regulations, 2015.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Annexure 2 of the principal Regulation:-
For Clause 6.2(iii) the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“In case of the office of the Vice-Chancellor becoming vacant due to death, resignation or
otherwise and in case of his/her absence due to illness or any other cause, the Pro Vice-
Chancellor, and in his/her absence, the senior most Professor shall perform the duties of the
Vice-Chancellor until a new Vice-Chancellor is appointed, or the existing vice-Chancellor
resumes duties, as the case may be.”
