NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (3) of Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 (3 of
1956) as modified upto 17th June, 1972 and in continuation of Gazette Notification No.F.87-92/58
(CUP) dated 1.12.58 F.33- 72/59 (CUP) dated 17.11.1960, F.1-59/66 (CDN) dated 18.6.1968, F.1-
59/66 (CDN) dated 17.2.1969, F.1-59/66 (CDN) dated 22.12.1969 and F.1-59/66 (CDN) dated
26.2.1971, the University Grants Commission with the approval of the Central Government hereby
specifies the following additional degrees for the purposes of the said section:

Master’s degree
1. Samaj Vidya Parangat (Gujarat Vidyapeeth)
2. Samaj Karya Parangat (Gujarat Vidyapeeth)

3. Shikshan Parangat (Gujarat Vidyapeeth)
Doctorate degree

1. Vidya Vachaspati (Gujarat Vidyapeeth)
