Offices of the UGC with the Prinicpals. This was presided over by Dr. K.

M.V. Krishnaswamy, Dr.Niloufer Kazmi, Dr.S. Jelani, Dr. Ratnabali
Banerjee and Dr. S.C. Ray, Heads of the Regional offices of the UGC.
The valedictory session was

presided
over by Prof. Ved Prakash, Secretary, UGC and Prof. Briz- Kishore was
the Guest of Honour. In the valedictory address, Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan
Pillai, summarized the recommendations and presented an action plan
drawn out of deliberations for implementation of autonomy and quality
assurance mechanisms in affiliated colleges. The conference was ably
assisted by a National Organising Committee consiting of Prof.V.N.
