Minimum Qualifications for Appointment on Teaching and other Academic Posts:

3. Consequences of failure of Universities to comply with recommendation of the Commission;
as per provisions of Section 14 of the UGC Act, 1956:
If any University grants affiliation in respect of study to any college referred to in sub-
Section (5) of Section 12-A in contravention of the provisions of that Sub-Section or foils to
comply with any recommendation make by the Commission under Section 12 or Section 13,
or contravenes the provision of any rule make under Clause (f) or Clause (g) of sub-Section
(1) of Section 26, the Commission, after taking into consideration the cause, if any, shown by
the university for such failure or contravention, may withhold form the University the grants
proposed to be make ort of the fund of the Commission.
