included curricular Aspects for Social Work Education; Management of Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education; Learning-Teaching and Assessment for Social Work Education; Social Work Research and Publication, Consultancy and Extension; Management of Infrastructure and Learning Resources for Social Work Education; Management of Student-related Matters for Social Work Education; Organisational Management of Social Work Education. The Seminar was attended by forty institutions providing social work education. Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai spoke on the issue of "Perspective for Quality in Higher Education" while delivering the key-note address. Prof. V.S. Prasad, Director, NAAC, Prof. R.R. Singh, Director, TISS and experts from Social work institutions participated in the 3 days workshop. Prof. Murli Desai, Head, SWE, TISS co-ordinated the whole activities. 

November, 2003 at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Armaity Desai, former Chairperson, UGC emphasized the need of effective 

standards for assessment and assurance of quality in institutions for social work education on the lines of the NAAC criteria. The various sessions

                                                   attend    the    meeting
                                                   due          to       some
                                                   unforeseen

                                                   Legislature Committee
                                                   highlighted             the
                                                   necessity of extensive
                                                   support       to       the
                                                   Colleges               and
                                                   Universities in  Kerala
                                                   from  the   UGC   and
                                                   other  Central   funding
                                                   agencies.
