AMPC (Anti Mal Practice Cell)

Brief Information

The Anti-Mal-Practice Cell was established on 30 May, 1996. The AMPC deal with the matters relating to the existence/functioning of fake or unrecognized universities/institutes in the Country which are offering programmes/awarding degrees in contravention of the UGC Act, 1956. The list of fake universities is made available on the UGC website: www.ugc.ac.in. AMPC takes action against the fake or unrecognized institutions and cautions the students and general public about such institutions through public notices on the UGC website as well as National dailies.
