ASSIST (Assistance for Strengthening of Infrastructure for Science and Technology)

The basic objective of ASSIST is to assist selected science, engineering and technology departments in the universities which have already exhibited and achieved high quality performance to enable them to acquire such costly major equipment which cannot be approved out of SAP grants, or normal university development grants, so that the attainment of excellence in post graduate education and research in the department is not handicapped due to the non-availability of such equipment.
