One of the major initiatives announced by Hon'ble PM is the "Guidelines for Multiple Entry and Exit in Academic Programmes offered in Higher Education lnstitutions". The proposed multiple entry and exit system is built on imaginative and flexible curricular structures t'acilitating studcnts to choose their learning trajectory and programmes. The system provides learners with varied cenillcation options and pave the way for seamless student mobility, betw-een or within degree-granting Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through a formal system ofcredit recognition. credit accumulation, credit lransfers, and credit redemption. The flexibility in academic programmes will enable learners to seck employment after any level ofaward andjoin back as and when feasible to upgrade qualification and also curtail dropout rate and improve Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in higher education.
