- Promotion of Indian Languages- The preservation and promotion of Indian languages must be considered a high priority for the country, as it is truly important for the identity of the nation as well as for its economy. The road map for proper up-gradation of Indian languages is an important aspect of the National Education Policy-2020. A High Level Steering Committee constituted by UGC to promote Indian languages in higher education institutions is working to develop, promote and propagate Indian languages/local languages.
